The Montane Men’s Slipstream GL Smock is a gossamer-light endurance windshirt for activities that require you to be agile and super-speedy on the mountain.

Designed by an ultra athlete for fellow ultra athletes, the Slipstream GL is constructed from ultra-lightweight, windproof and breathable Pertex Quantum GL fabric. It is rustle-free and has exceptional durable water repellency (DWR) for help staying dry.

It features a snorkel hood, front bib stash pocket for gel shots and 360° Dusk Till Dawn reflective trim.

The Slipstream GL Smock packs down to a feather-light 80 grams to make carrying it on those difficult excursions a breeze. It is a piece of mountaineering kit for marathons, ultra-distance endurance and fast mountain ascents that no serious ultra athlete should be without.

Garment care

• The Slipstream GL Smock uses Pertex fabric which contains a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier in keeping you dry. Clean your garment in order to maintain this.
• Machine wash in warm water at 40°C/104°F with a mild detergent. Montane recommends that you use Nikwax Tech Wash
• Do not use fabric softeners or bleach
• Drip dry
• Your smock may need occasional re-proofing to restore the DWR. Montane recommends Nikwax TX Direct
