These are my first merino socks and were highly recommended on a review of socks on the Walk Highlands website. After a day of walking my usual socks are so smelly they could fell a cow at 20 paces. I tried these Teko socks out on a 12 mile section of the Moray Coastal Trail, which was dry but over 20 degrees and at the end my feet were still untroubled with hot spots, blisters etc. The smell was I am pleased to say very light and by the next morning after air drying was non existent so I decided to wear them for a second day. This was even warmer at 24 degrees (yes this was in Scotland). After about 10 miles the results were the same. Pushing it now I tried for an unheard of 3rd day in the same socks, this time just as warm and nearly 16 miles. This was maybe pushing my luck a bit and they were a bit nifty but still nothing like one normal day. So I am one happy person and dont need to drive home with my car windows wide open. As much of my normal walking seems guaranteed to have at least one place where I will stand in a bog that goes over the top of my boots, I have not yet found how they will cope with that. Its great to be able to stay at a B&B or hostel and to have to leave the boots in the car. Very happy to recommend.
