The jacket features a detachable three-panel hood with luxurious faux fur trim, two-way central zip fastening with a press stud storm flap, smaller baffle quilts to the waist for a flattering feminine shape, and a protective long length cut. The jacket is complete with two press stud side pockets and tonal Barbour script embroidery.
This Barbour Women's Parka is warm warm warm! It is really well insulated but clever Barbour have stitched the insulation into place with well placed baffles designed to flatter rather than fatten as in some quilted coats. I particularly appreciate the two way zip in the Barbour Caldbeck Jacket which you can adjust to hop into the car or adjust for greater movement. The hood can be removed but you may not want to as it is comfortable soft and warm. Apparently fur trimmed hoods are designed to break the cut of the icey wind around your face, hence why so typical of Icelandic clothing, so it will be a welcome feature for the winter months.
