Home of the famous Macaroni cotton sweatshirt, Weird Fish is a modern, ethical brand.
Founded by Doug Tilling in 1993 after a bracing, inspiring walk along the coast in Cornwall, Weird Fish was born with a simple mission: to produce well priced, well made and distinctive clothing.
Weird Fish started by creating their first air brushed t- shirts with hundreds of fishy, colourful designs.
1994 was the year the iconic Macaroni sweatshirt was born. Using a collection of neglected knitting machines in Turkey, Weird Fish crafted a unique slow-spun, worn in, pre-grooved, triple-twisted fabric called Macaroni. Phew!
Along with thousands of other companies, they realised the best way to reach customers with their new products was to get themselves on the World Wide Web. This happened in 2005.
In 2006 Weird Fish opened their first store in the City of Bath and now have 12 others around the country.
In 2014, the Macaroni range is 20 years old and sold their millionth one!
Weird Fish are against throw away fashion and wish to keep swimming against the tide, creating quality, ethically produced clothing. They have a stringent ethical policy with trusted suppliers with no child labour and excellent working conditions. They are always looking for greener, cleaner manufacturing processes and have recently started work with their first carbon neutral factory.
