The North Face Dryvent™ Waterproof Jackets

Dryvent™ is The North Face own brand fabric. It is fully waterproof, windproof and breathable. The outer face of the textile is treated with a durable water-repellent finish that helps form droplets and repel water from the surface. The fabric is engineered to allow water vapour to pass through from the inside to the outside. All Dryvent™ clothing is fully seam-sealed to stop the water.

From everyday use to a long trek, Each jacket is designed with specific features that are relevant to the user’s activity, needs and conditions. All products will be branded with the Dryvent™ logo. Here are four popular jacket choices from our Dryvent collection.

A durable, stretch-woven shell, waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, and soft, knit face interior combine to make breathable and fully weatherproof Apex Flex jackets. Comfy as your favourite hoodie, this rain jacket’s super-light construction makes for quick progress across trail or town.

Waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed GORE-TEX® 3L shell with a soft-knit face and stretch-knit backer.

The North Face Thermoball Collection

Thermoball jackets offer incredible insulating qualities by using ultralight, highly compressible synthetic insulation that retains loft and traps heat even when wet. The Thermoball insulation is an ideal choice for almost any environment, from cold hikes in the hills to everyday walks in winter.

It is a popular year-round choice for outdoor active people because it is affordable and used in a wide range of The North Face jacket collection.

The small round Primaloft synthetic fibre clusters closely mimic down clusters; trapping heat within small air pockets to retain warmth. This means the jackets are for all-weather versatility and the packable ThermoBall™ insulation will retain loft and warmth, even when wet.

Thermoball should be washed in warm water and a gentle powdered detergent. Here is our latest collection of Thermoball jackets for men and women.

What's The North Face?

The coldest, most unforgiving side of the mountain is called The North Face. However, The North Face brand was dreamed up on a beach in San Francisco. In 1966 two hiking enthusiasts decided to start a mountaineering shop. They started producing North Face jackets, equipment and footwear to help people all over the world to explore.

The North Face mission is still the same as in 1966. To offer the best gear to athletes and the modern-day explorer. To support and preserve the outdoors and inspire a global movement of exploration.

Wherever you are The North Face will be there. Their clothes can be seen on the high street or on the world's most skilled athletes. They kit out climbers, mountaineers, extreme skiers, snowboarders, endurance runners, and explorers. It's time to find your new favourite insulated jacket or go-to waterproof jacket.

The North Face brand consistently pushes the bar with its outdoor clothing, while never sacrificing reliability or quality along the way. Its products are always extremely high-quality and well worth the money.

The North Face and Sustainability

The North Face is also dedicated to worldwide sustainability — something which we feel is exceptionally important nowadays. Not only do they create flawless products; they do so in a way that minimises their impact on the planet. When it comes to sustainability, The North Face abides by a range of sustainability policies that makes them one of the most respectable companies around. These policies include:

  • The "Clothes the Loop" recycling policy, designed to offer used or worn clothes at a lower price at selected stores
  • Manufacturing that uses less power and more sustainable materials to lower the impact on the planet
  • Using recycled plastics where possible, especially plastics found in discarded bottles and containers
  • Creating a responsible and caring source for down, the feathers used in sleeping bags and other insulating clothing
  • Donating clothing and money to conservation associations around the planet, helping them in their efforts to keep the planet safe

The Glacier collection is absolute classic North Face iconic wear. The fleeces are thermally efficient and versatile which means they continue to be popular as a great solo or layering piece of clothing.

From walking in the mountains to using every day, these fleece offer warmth without the weight. Being super-light and warm the benefit is just how quickly a fleece can dry and retain much of its insulating properties. They are also nice and easy to clean.

The Glacier from The North Face is a favourite layering piece for many outdoor enthusiasts.
