The ultimate hiking rucksack for those that need extra attachments like hiking poles and ice axe. Great for any mountain adventure and trekking exhibition.

The Kestrel 38 is a medium sized pack perfect for days out on the crag and hikers who need to carry extra layers during the winter months. Access can be achieved at the top or bottom of the rucksack so you don't need to expose your stuff to the weather, and there are plenty of places to store kit including straps for attaching items to the outside. Ice tools and walking poles can easily be carried along with a sleeping bag and roll mat. The Airscape back system is not only adjustable but has foam ridges which encourage ventilation and the mesh hip belt and harness makes carrying loads a breeze. This pack also features a detachable rain cover, stretch mesh front and side pockets and a hydration bladder compartment. All this and more makes this pack an excellent choice and is available in three great colours.

The king of rucksacks! Having asked around about the best hiking rucksacks, nearly everyone unanimously recommended the Kestrel. One helpful advisor quipped that he went mountain climbing the following weekend and that all 5 were sporting Kestrels. Renowned for their bag making alone, I could immediately spot the quality and the quality of the e-outdoor customer service was even better. My advice? If in doubt, buy an Osprey - even better, a Kestrel. What you should have no doubt about is buying from e-outdoor who were a pleasure to deal with. Many thanks!

I was looking for a medium sized day/weekend rucksak and after doing a lot of research decided on the Osprey Kestral 38 I have not been disappointed whilst it is not the cheapest it is a quality product and I have always found it does not pay to scrimp on the quality of your rucksack as hopefully it will give me many years of service Whilst I have only used it for a week in North Wales I have found it very comfortable and you can see a lot of thought has gone into the design of this product
