Thinking of buying a new pack? Almost the hardest part of shopping can be picking the correct pack size. There has to be a realistic approach of how much you wish to take away with you for any given time and how long your excursion is likely to be. You need to consider travel factor – will you be taking a short bus, train or plane trip and need it to fit in the overhead compartments? Do you buy big to fit everything in or do you buy small and limit the amount of gear you can cram in? With a vast range from 5-85L there has to be something out there for you! Is there a difference between a backpack and a rucksack? In the UK a backpack (or daypack) will often be smaller and a rucksack will be larger. However, both terms are often used interchangeably in the outdoor world.
