The most obvious feature of the Vortex is it’s chunky Vibram sole unit, exclusive to this model, designed to give fantastic mechanical grip on loose surfaces and wet, British ground. The bonded and lasted construction help add to the outright durability and strength, and of course, it can be resoled when the time comes.
The fabric and suede upper works in conjunction with a quick and free running lace system to make the Vortex one of the easiest shoes to get off and on, while still giving a great hold across the foot. The Gore-Tex membrane ensures the shoe is fully waterproof.
For breathable, waterproof protection you can always rely on GORE-TEX. That's why the Vortex from Scarpa has a GORE-TEX lining from the Extended Comfort Footwear range to give your feet comfort and protection in all weathers.
With the well proven Vibram Dynatech sole unit you'll find your feet remain stable even if the terrain does not. The sole unit is designed to absorb shock, thereby reducing fatigue and leaving you free to hammer out mile after mile.
Summary: This is a very lightweight shoe, but that doesn't mean it won't stand up to the test, after all, it has been handmade by Scarpa - a sign of quality! Versatile, waterproof and comfortable that is ideal for those who prefer a little more freedom at the ankle.
