This shoe is very light and gore tex lining means your feet keep dry regardless of how much dew or how many streams you encounter. I have used them to zoom up and down my local Basque mountains for the last fortnight and I am very pleased with them. I recommend them as long as you do not plan to walk on rocky paths for too long. The sole is beneath the balls of the feet is definitely too flexible and on the thin side for such pursuits.
