Moab GTX 2 walking shoe is waterproof. The GORE-TEX® membrane is at the heart of all GORE-TEX® products. Due to its microporous structure, it has some amazing characteristics. Invented in 1969, Gore-Tex is able to repel liquid water while allowing water vapour to pass through and is designed to be a lightweight, waterproof fabric for all-weather use. The EVA footbed is a dense foam which acts as an excellent and durable shock absorber in the sole of the shoe. The Vibram rubber soles offer superior grip over the toughest of terrains. The rubber sole was used on the first ascent to the summit of K2 in 1954.
