Purchased these boots 2 years ago for lightweight use only ( I use Scarpa one piece full leather on mountain terrain) they are wide fitting and comfortable and I was very pleased with them until the stitching near the inside big toe came apart on both boots, also the sole has started to separate. In 30 years of walking I can honestly say they are the worst value for money boot I have had. I will never purchase another boot with so much stitching, even for lightweight use.

I cant comment on how durable they are. But I can say that they are very comfortable and ideal for some like me with a wide foot who wants to be able to use a thicker sock from time to time. This is my third pair of Meindl (first pair of boots) and they're in my view the best you can buy. Worth the extra money.
