The North Face Thermoball Triclimate incorporates a waterproof and breathable, stylish outer with a zip in Primaloft Thermoball synthetic jacket for much needed warmth on colder days

Street wise and mountain savvy, The North Face Men's Thermoball Triclimate 3 in 1 Jacket will ensure you are ready for anything, regardless of the weather.

Using The North Face's own seam sealed HyVent 2.5L fabric on the outer shell, The North Face Men's Thermoball Triclimate 3 in 1 Jacket is both waterproof and breathable. The attached hood is fully adjustable keeping your head snug and dry but not restricting your vision. Temperature control is inbuilt without compromising weather protection thanks to under arm vents. The main zip has an internal storm flap, making the zip quicker and easier to operate. Your goodies can be kept safe in the zippered Napoleon chest pocket and your hands warm in the side pockets. Stay tuned in to your favourite music whilst you push on up the hill thanks to media compatability. Keep your cuffs comfortable with easy adjust velcro tabs and your hem tight with quick pull cinch cord. Your inner layer zips into the outer, and is compatible with other jackets in The North Face range.

Your inner jacket is a stunning mix of style and new technology. With Thermoball insulation, this high loft, low weight and high packability alternative to Down feels warm the moment you put it on, and will stay feeling warm even if it gets wet. It also feels great against the skin. Two zipped hand pockets provide warmth and security if you've left your outer shell behind.

This is an excellent quality jacket. I was looking for a lightweight yet warm jacket an this fits the bill well. The fit is a little bit baggy. The outer shell is very lightweight and stretchy so it gives a good range of movement. The quality of the seams is very good and they are all welded from the inside. The inner shell is also very lightweight but warm. The 3 in 1 system gives plenty of versatility and you can actually connect other North Face jackets, like some of their fleeces, inside this outer shell. The hood is has plenty of adjustability. The only negatives are that there are only three outer pockets on the outer shell, and only two pockets on the inner jacket. An inner pocket would have been nice. Also, the outer shell is very thin, so wearing it on its own will only give a waterproof layer but no warmth.

First I will say I probably didn't read the specs closely enough. I bought this for walking and dog walking and returned it the next day it is a good coat but didn't have the features I actually wanted which I only realised what I missed when they weren't there. The photo make makes the shell appear that it has a double baffle it is a single interior baffle, pockets aren't lined and immediately felt quite cold. The stretch in the shell is very good on the plus side giving a freedom go movement other jackets don't. The Liner is lovely and snug and very warm and I would have no hesitation buying this separately. Like I've said it is a good jacket just make sure you know your specs I ended up re-ordering the solaris which doesn't have the stretch but meets all other requirements. I say I wouldn't recommend as it it didn't meet what I wanted as good as it is.
