I had already bought the last version of this gilet but it was too small (my fault) and so by definition I was satisfied with it. I am a biological fieldworker who carries out surveys in warm, very humid tropical forests and I found the product to be ideal for these conditions, even though it has a lining. It is pretty robust, comfortable, very practical with numerous pockets and a not unattractive item of clothe wear, i.e. not too military in appearance. Recommended for outdoor work or leisure activities in warm conditions, at least, though I cannot comment on its insulation properties in colder climates.
