Exolite is a soft shell fabric.

Thanks to its combination of soft inner and abrasion resistant outer, Exolite is great next to the skin and next to a rough rock face. The fabric has high stretch capacity making it ideal for garments that have to move around a lot. Consider your sport; if you are going to be leaping, bending, or taking long strides, then a material needs to give you the freedom to move.  Any movement restriction will make you tire more quickly and could prevent you making moves in tricky and demanding locations. In these situations, Exolite is perfectly suited to the demands.

Exolite is predominantly used to keep you warm, keep out the wind and shed light rain and snow, The latter is achieved by a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating that can be re-applied as and when required.

Because Exolite does not have a waterproof membrane it is more effective at dealing with body moisture, transmitting it through the fabric very rapidly, keeping you feeling fresh. This makes Exolite garments ideal for high aerobic sports where breaking into a sweat is unavoidable.

Aesthetically, the smooth outer face of the fabric creates a very clean look.

Varying weight Exolite fabrics, from Exolite125 to Exolite 275, are used depending on the application of the garment. The higher the number, the greater the warmth and protection they provide. The lower the number, the lighter and more breathable.
