Quintessentially Barbour, this versatile jacket is tough enough to brave the great outdoors yet equally suited to city wear - perfect for throwing over a suit when commuting to work. Ideal for year-round use, it boasts a 100% cotton lining in Barbour's iconic tartan print, with an interactive zip designed for pairing with an optional quilted liner when extra insulation is needed.
The Classic Beaufort's smart corduroy collar feels luxuriously soft and is studded to take an optional hood, while the two-way zip, studded storm fly front and Velcro-fastening wind cuffs seal out draughts. Two lower bellow pockets offer plenty of room for essentials, and moleskin-lined hand-warmer pockets provide welcome warmth on cold days. A useful rear game pocket completes the impressive line-up of functional features.
Appreciate the versatility of this medium length Barbour country jacket. A well recognised classic, waxed in Sylkoil with the traditional tartan cotton lining, moleskin lined pockets
It's not called a classic for nothing. First designed back in the early 80's by Dame Margaret Barbour, it has been one the designs to establish Barbour's iconic status. The Beaufort is renowned for its ever practical, lined, rear Game Pocket.
Wear all year round thanks to the detachable hood and liner, the outer is not only wind proof and waterproof thanks to the 6oz medium weight waxed cotton, but thorn-proof as well, useful when your detour through the woods becomes a wrestle with a briar patch.
With its Classic fit that allows room for a woolly layer beneath, the front is secured with a robust two way zip with large ring pull giving easy grip even with cold wet hands. This is then complimented by a stud fastening Stormfly.
Plenty of pocket space as you would expect, with two bellows pockets and, to warm those cold wet hands, a pair of moleskin lined hand warmer pockets at waist level.
Shorter than some traditional jackets the Beaufort sports the aforementioned rear pocket that is Polyamide lined to make it easy to wipe clean. Its useful for carrying smaller game when out on a shoot, or a newspaper when out on a commute.
Classic Barbour Tartan hails from the Barbour family's origins in Ayrshire, Scotland and is used to line the inside of this timeless jacket.
It's incredibly reassuring when you've got to go out in foul weather, to know that you've got a reliable friend to protect you from the elements, and that's what a Barbour jacket quickly becomes - a faithful friend.
