A brief history of White+Bishop
In 1930 Mr White opened shop at number 13 Bridge Street in Northampton. He sold practical country clothes, scout uniforms and camping equipment. After a few years, with hard work and a good location, the business began to grow along with its reputation.
The business survived by keeping pace with modern trends and products.
The shop itself had many cosmetic changes, going through various improvements to the shop front. On the 25th May 1950 it was formed into a limited company and years later the business was handed down to Mr White's son.
As demand for business increased so did the company size. The shops next door, 15 and 17, were bought and a new store was opened in Rugby. Number 17 Bridge Street was developed to specialise solely in outdoor gear and more staff were employed.
In recent years, as demand on the web has grown, we have fully adopted the name "e-OUTDOOR". Loyal, repeating customers will still know us as White+Bishop, but our new signs and web presence is all branded to e-OUTDOOR.
e-OUTDOOR is a fully independent business based in the United Kingdom. Keeping up with the tradition of providing an extensive range of stock we sell all the top brands in the outdoor market. Names like The North Face, Berghaus, Brasher, Craghoppers, Barbour, Icebreaker, Merrell and more grant us a platform for equipping you with high quality products.
