Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

'The North Face Movado Mens Trench Jacket'


Combining modern waterproof protection with the lines of a classic raincoat, the Men’s Movado Trench is great for wet-weather, off-mountain adventure. The outer shell is engineered from a two-layer HyVent® fabric, reliably waterproof yet quick to wick away moisture from the body to be evaporated. Inside there’s a removable interior jacket that features PrimaLoft® Eco insulation, recycled for environmental peace of mind as well as warmth. The hood is similarly insulated, and is fully adjustable and removable as conditions allow. Patch-on cargo and side pockets provide ample room for all the things you need to keep close at hand, and a hem cinchcord secures you inside a dry interior, no matter what the weather’s doing outside.
