Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

'D.M.M Phantom Quickdraw Dyneema Sets'


The Phantom is a super light quickdraw, but we have kept it large enough to be functional and made it super safe with 3 sigma 23kn gate closed and 9kn gate open strengths. The Phantom moves I beam technology to the next level by using a new 7000 series alloy and a bespoke wire on the gate that shaves off extra grams whilst maintain strength.

All the standard DMM characteristics are present: customised wire gate that pulls into the nose under load , rope groove, anodised finish and the 'even tension' gate.

  • Dims: 90 mm (3.54") x 52 mm (2.05")
