Footwear Guide Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks. The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently. Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up. The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up. The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first. Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear. Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting. Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger. The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting. Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

Based upon the popular Barbour Bedale this new Barbour Heath Waxed Jacket is a flagship garment in the Barbour 2012 Spring/Summer Lifestyle Collection. It is a distinctive casual, vintage look jacket. A slimmer and more contemporary version of the Bedale it maintains the feature studded corduroy collar. It's six pockets are a classic feature too, two large bellow pockets, two hand warmer pockets two zipped pockets. The Barbour Heath is made from lightweight 4oz Barbour sylkoil wax cotton which can be sponge cleaned for convenience and is lined with the distinctive 100% polyester contrasting Barbour tartan.
