Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

The Billy is a very simple but elegant frame combining TR90 temples and a stainless steel frame making it a very light and comfortable frame to wear.

FRAME

Anatomically designed metal frames are meticulously formed from a fusion of components. TR90 temples and stainless Steel ensure comfort and fit.

LENS

BG12 lenses provide 100% UV protection.

BG12-BROWN GRADUATED - This lens is a Brown graduated lens, darker at the top and almost clear at the bottom. Commonly thought of as a fashion lens, but still offers good protection in the Cat 3 range. Not really suitable for snow or water sports.
