Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

The North Face Women’s Inlux Insulated Jacket is an insulated coat that boasts mountain savvy features without sacrificing fit, form or comfort. The jacket is lined with Heatseeker insulation between the waterproof, breathable and seal sealed shell and the soft Raschel fleece lining of the body and collar. The insulated hood is fully adjustable and removable. Pit-zips aim ventilation when activity levels peak in this standard fit garment. With an internal mesh pocket and two hand pockets, there is sufficient storage space for essentials. The North Face Women’s Inlux Insulated Jacket is a mountain coat for any winter or cold weather forays and pursuits.

"Excellent jacket, very warm and snug, great fit (I am size 10 and ordered Small) and lots of useful pockets, a very practical hood and the rain literally rolls off it. It also wipes clean easily-muddy paw prints from an over enthusiastic dog wiped off with just a splash of water! Also received amazing service from White & Bishop (e-outdoor) and cheaper than at my local stockist!"
