Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

The North Face Men’s Crimptastic Hybrid Jacket is a mid layer snowsports jacket that combines lush down insulation with stretch panels. Flexible Power Stretch panels at the side and under arms give optimal, unrestricted movement and plump, heat retaining 800 fill down insulation is used on the chest and top sleeves where it’s needed most. That’s the essence of body-mapped construction. The down is wrapped in a durable, wind resistant breathable nylon rip stop Pertex shell with a DWR moisture resistant coating. For cold weather excursions where staying flexible and warm are important, choose The North Face Men’s Crimptastic Hybrid Jacket for a high mountain snowsports thermal coat with Summit Series providence.

"Great looking jacket. Used in Switzerland under TNF shell A lot of sunny blue sky days and hard skiing resulted in jacket being being wet from perspiration (needed drying out on radiator for a couple of hours). Thats the only flaw - they should have used Primaloft One instead of down as it was designed to be a ski underlayer but doesdnt cope well with sweat"
