Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.

The Mountain Equipment Titan 850 is a mummy shaped sleeping bag, perfect for extreme camping conditions. It's vivid colours and sleek design provides a very fashionable look for on mountain cred'. It is a highly recommendable piece of gear for colder climates. The Titan 850g sleeping bag has a lightweight ripstop outer shell which is very durable against abrasions and any scuffing. The Mountain Equipment have used their EXL technology in the bag lining, this creates elasticated baffles that gather in around your body, removing any empty spaces and improving the comfort and thermal quality of this wonderful sleeping bag. The ultrasoft fabric of the lining further enhances the comfort.

Warmth is not an issue with the Mountain Equipment Titan 850 as it is stuffed with a 625+ fill power pure down insulation, providing a luxurious level of warmth as temperatures plummet, this sleeping bag is suitable for temperatures to minus -31°C but is most comfortable at temperatures of around minus -12° C. The anatomical hood is another great freature with HALO baffle paired with the 3-dimensional neck collar. This prevents any heat loss or cold spots. With security in mind The Muntain Equipment Titan 850 have included an internal zipped pocket for any accessories. The height of comfort and warmth this sleeping bag weighs in at 1.495kg and is completed by a 2-way locking zip designed to stop accidental openings.

"I bought this sleeping bag for a trip i am doing to Nepal for 5 month starting November this year. I will be in a couple of different areas of Nepal, and will be underaking some trekking while i am there. This sleeping bag seemed perfect for my stay, and i am confident that i am not going to feel cold! It is light, and packs up small, but also comes with a sack to put it in, when you dont want to roll it up tight for the small sack. It has a handy little zipped pocket in the inside. The sleeping bag does not feel small, and is more than large enough for me, with room. Im 58". Excellant price, and fast delivery. Cant fault anything! Great service. "
