Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

'Extremities Super Windy Womens Gloves'


Polyester fabric used in the super windy is an extremely strong, synthetic fibre that is resistant to abrasion, does not crease easily, maintains it shape well, dries quickly and is very warm to wear. The super windy is thus a winter all-rounder designed to keep out all but the harshest of conditions.

Extremities Super Windy Womens Gloves Features:

  • Windstopper soft shell
  • Silicone palm to improve grip
  • Pre-curved fingers improve fit
  • Fabric: 100% polyester
  • Thick pile fleece lining for extra warmth
  • Elasticated stretch cuffs

The windstopper membrane system provides a windproof barrier that is extremely breathable. It prevents cold winds from cutting through the fabric but allows the body heat to ventilate.
