Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

GoLite Malpais Trinity Mens 3 Layer Hardshell Jacket Features:

Materials:

  • 15D nylon w/polyurethane memebrane.
  • Hydrostatic 17000mm.

The first affordable stretch, waterproof-breathable shells available.A polyurethane membrane is laminated between two layers of bonded four-way stretch polyester and treated with a super-DWR, resulting in a fabric with excellent stretch and waterproof protection, plus more breathability than regular storm shells. Trinity was developed with comfort in mind: the stretch allows for terrific range of motion regardless of the activity, and the waterproof protection keeps you warm and dry whatever the weather. Testing on the Trinity fabric indicates a waterproof level of 10,000mm and a breathability level of 10,000g/m²/24 hours.
