Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

Maximum waterproof protection with minimal bulk designed to keep you dry.

The Arc nylon ripstop and Arc stretch paneling employ an abrasion-resistant, hydrophobic waterproof/breathable laminate so you stay dry from both outside and inside the jacket. All seams are taped for 100% protection.

Mountain Hardwear Stretch Cohesion Jacket Features:

  • All over stretch for comfort and freedom of movement
  • Attached, roll-away Ergo hood fits over helmet, single-handed drawcord for quick adjustments
  • Pit zips for ventilation
  • Cuff tabs and hem drawcords for quick fit adjustments
  • Micro-Chamois-lined chin guard eliminates zipper chafe
  • Weight: 370g

Inside the jacket is Conduit DT laminate which is a soft, ceramic-based print relief surface that protects skin and creates a soft, smooth and non-clammy feeling. The roll-away, helmet-compatible Ergo hood has a beefy laminated brim that cinches down securely for a close fit so the rain stays out of your eyes. The water-resistant pit zippers let you ventilate the jacket and the chamois-lined chin guard protects your skin from zipper abrasion. Water protection at the end of your sleeves is aided from the molded cuff tabs which have rip-and-stick closures. The pockets will keep your stash inside dry too with welded hand and chest pockets that feature lightweight, water-resistant zippers and a handy interior zip stash pocket.
