Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

'Berghaus Borazon Mens Pant Regular'


Trek and walk in comfort and style with these tough and durable Men's Borazon Mountain Trousers.

They're perfect for walk-ins and winter routes, and are hard-wearing enough to withstand the rigours of general heavy-duty use in the mountains. The Borazon Trousers are made of stretch fabric which ensures unrestricted freedom of movement as well as protection from the elements.

Part of the Berghaus EXTREM range.

Berghaus Borazon Mens Pant Regular Features:

  • Maintain comfort and cool, whatever your exertion rate; core venting zips allow you to regulate your temperature
  • A high level of rain protection is ensured with the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment
  • Functionality and performance come as standard- the nylon face ensures excellent resistance to abrasion, the polyester inside is comfortable next to the skin and the trousers also come with a 30mm webbing belt
  • 1 Inner ‘dry’, zipped pocket for storage and hand-warming – fits OS map.
