Patagonia had its origins as a beachside piton-making shop, active only in the winter months. Come summer our blacksmiths headed for Yosemite or Jackson Hole to climb. The forge now gathers dust in a tin shed behind their Ventura headquarters, but the old ironclad-quality standards still apply to their clothes. For these shorts they use a tough, 8-oz. organic cotton canvas. Details include a zip fly, quarter-front pockets, drop-in hip pockets and a single cargo pocket on the thigh. Regular fit. Inseam, size 32, is 10”. Garment-washed. Imported.
