Footwear Guide
  • Walking boots need to be a half to full size larger than your normal foot size to allow for the wearing of walking socks.
  • The actual fitting shape of the boot is brand dependent - different brands will hold your feet differently.
  • Allow for a finger's width fitting down back of a walking boot when wearing but before lacing up.
  • The boot shouldn't have any noticable pressure points or tight spots - there is no such thing as 'breaking in' a boot to loosen it up.
  • The ankle should feel restricted and supported in a way you are not used to at first.
  • Walking boots will always feel stiffer to wear.
  • Zamberlan & Scarpa brands have an overall narrower fitting.
  • Merrell in general tend to be shorter, so for normal fitting, get a size larger.
  • The Meindl Matrei is our widest boot - perfect for anyone who requires a wide fitting.
  • Shoe-style footwear and sandals have a regular fit and size.

'Keen Newport H2 Mens Sandal'


The strapping system is tapered polyester webbing lined with stretch neoprene for practical, all-day comfort, especially for water sport activities. Keen’s bungee lacing system provides a secure fit, and the asymmetrical footbed has metatarsal arch support to keep your foot in a comfortable neutral position. The durable Phylon midsole for superior cushioning with carbon sticky rubber outsole sipping to provide better grip on wet surfaces.

Can a sandal protect your toes? The answer is yes. The reason is KEEN Patented Toe Protection where the shoe outsoles wrap up and over the toes for ultimate protection.

The Newport comes with Aegis Microbe Shield Technology which controls  bacterial and fungal activities that cause odors, stains and product deterioration. Aegis technology is free of environmentally harmful substances.
